Chris Clemence

Chris Clemence is the founder and owner of Long Island's premiere tattoo and piercing destination, Montauk Tattoo, where he is celebrated for his mastery across diverse tattooing styles, with a particular specialization in Japanese tattooing and cover-up work.

 

​In addition to his tattoo artistry, Chris also is the founder of Tattshoos, a distinctive footwear line featuring his original, hand painted designs that blend fine art with fashion.

​Chris began his career through a traditional tattoo apprenticeship under the legendary Greg James in Los Angeles, later honing his craft at the world-renowned Tattoos Deluxe. His dedication to traditional techniques led him to further training in Tebori, the Japanese art of hand-poke tattooing, under Horifune of the Koshu Family.

Today, Chris continues to bring his artistry to a global audience, touring regularly across the United States, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Scottsdale, New York City, and Detroit, to meet the demand of his international clientele.
