Chris Clemence
Chris Clemence is the founder and owner of Montauk Tattoo, where he is celebrated for his mastery across diverse tattooing styles, with a particular specialization in Japanese tattooing and cover-up work.
In addition to his tattoo artistry, Chris also is the founder of Tattshoos, a distinctive footwear line featuring his original, hand painted designs that blend fine art with fashion.
Chris began his career through a traditional tattoo apprenticeship under the legendary Greg James in Los Angeles, later honing his craft at the world-renowned Tattoos Deluxe. His dedication to traditional techniques led him to further training in Tebori, the Japanese art of hand-poke tattooing, under Horifune of the Koshu Family.
Today, Chris continues to bring his artistry to a global audience, touring regularly across the United States, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Scottsdale, New York City, and Detroit, to meet the demand of his international clientele.
